Migatronic Sigma Select 400 S-W Graphic Pulse is a modular MIG/MAG welder with a welding current from 15 to 400 A. The letter S in the designation stands for a separate wire feeder, the letter W for water cooling. At a 100% duty cycle at a temperature of 40°C the source gives 300 A at a voltage of 29.0 V.
What this machine is for
This is a platform for a production station, where the power source with the cooler stands in one place and the operator works with the feeder at the structure. The range from 15 to 400 A covers thin sheet and thicker sections welded in several layers. Continuous work up to 300 A means long passes without breaks for cooling, and water cooling keeps the torch in check at high settings.
The graphic panel with the pulse welding package shortens the setting up of the machine between parts: you choose a program, correct the parameters and go back to work. The pulse comes in useful on aluminium and acid resistant steels, because it orders the metal transfer and limits the amount of heat put into the joint. A set like this goes to structural workshops, to production of tanks and machines and to plants that weld in series and need repeatable settings.

What to watch out for
A 400 V supply needs a power socket. For continuous work count on 300 A, because that is what the source gives at a 100% duty cycle at 40°C, and treat 400 A as the peak value for shorter passes. Water cooling means a check of the fluid level, of the flow and of the tightness of the couplings before every shift, and in winter also a check of what the circuit is filled with. The power source, the feeder and the cooler form a station that is moved on a trolley, so plan the space and the transport.
This unit is a demonstration one and is in condition B: traces of use and full working order. The data sheet describes it as a complete set sold as one item, so before you buy settle with us which torch, earth cable and set of rolls belong to this configuration and which wire diameters you want to feed.

This unit was checked in our service workshop in Krotoszyn with measurements to PN-EN 60974-4 and a load test. The price includes the first year of the basic service package, further years can be added. We ship across the European Union, collection in person by appointment.
