We have been repairing welding machines for well over a decade and we do it on our own test bench, not by guesswork. We are the authorised premium service in Poland for Megmeet, Migatronic, GYS and Böhler Welding, and beyond that we repair equipment from the popular workshop brands. You can bring the machine to us in Krotoszyn at ul. Akacjowa 15, or we collect it by courier from an address you give us.
What we repair
MIG/MAG, TIG, MMA and plasma power sources, wire feeders, coolers, torches, control panels and power modules. We handle inverters as well as older transformer and thyristor machines. We repair electronics down to component level, so it is often possible to save a board that others tell you to replace as a whole.
How a repair works
Diagnosis
We start with measurement: open circuit voltage, current under load on a reference resistor, operation of the cooling circuit, resistance of the welding circuit. On top of that, a visual inspection of boards, capacitors, transistors and solder joints. The diagnosis is quoted separately and credited against the repair if you decide to go ahead.
Quotation
Before the repair you get a quotation split into parts and labour, together with a date. We do not start work without your agreement. If a repair makes no economic sense, we say so plainly and offer to buy the machine for parts or to supply a replacement from our used stock.
Repair and test
After the repair the machine goes on a load test. We check current and voltage at several points across the range, the duty cycle, arc stability in real welding and the temperature of the heat sinks. We go through the test result with you when you collect the machine, and we issue an inspection report to customers on the extended service package.
Periodic inspections and measurements
A periodic inspection covers cleaning with compressed air, checking the power connections, replacing worn consumables, checking cables and plugs, inspecting the cooling circuit and changing the coolant. We also carry out electrical testing of welding equipment to EN 60974-4, that is insulation resistance, continuity of the protective circuit, leakage current and open circuit voltage. The inspection report, which most audits and quality systems require, is issued as part of the extended service package.
Parts
For the brands we are authorised for we order original parts, usually within a few working days. For the popular machines we hold a stock of torches, feeders, tips, liners and subassemblies taken off machines. If the maker no longer supplies parts for your model, in many cases a replacement can be found or the part repaired.
Lead times and logistics
The standard repair time is a few working days from the machine arriving, and longer where we are waiting for a part. Customers on a service package have priority in the queue and a replacement machine for the duration of the repair. If the machine is heavy, we arrange pallet transport both ways.
