Three kinds of item turn up in our offers and it is worth knowing how they differ. The first is end of line stock, that is new machines from a model the maker has replaced with a newer one. The equipment is factory new, with the full manufacturer warranty, and usually cheaper by somewhere over ten percent. The limitation can be parts availability in the longer term, though with popular types that is not a problem.
The second is ex-demo and demonstration units. They have been run at trade fairs or on trials at customer sites, they have few arc hours and full equipment. We describe them as used, with a condition and a test result, though in practice they look new.
The third is returned equipment and units with cosmetic damage: dented casings, transport scratches, a missing piece of packaging. The electronics are sound, the price is lower, and the fault is described and shown in the photos.
With wires, offers usually cover larger packs, drums instead of spools, or items with a shorter remaining storage period. Wire does not lose its properties if it has been stored dry, and with seamless flux-cored wires moisture is not an issue at all.
