A new machine makes sense where manufacturer warranty and predictable running costs matter. In this section we keep the brands proven in Polish workshops. Kemppi is industrial equipment with long parts availability. Spartus offers a choice of MIG sets, TIG inverters, plasma cutters, lasers and tables. Magnum and Ideal are workshop machines with a good price to capability ratio, while Telwin, Paton and Welder Fantasy add spot welders, heaters and 230 V inverters.
Start from the power supply. Machines on 230 V up to 200 A will work with a workshop installation on a 16 A fuse. Above that you need 400 V and a 16 or 32 A socket. Then set the duty cycle at the current you actually weld at. For continuous work look for at least 60 percent at 40 degrees Celsius.
Budget for accessories: a torch rated for the load, an earth lead of the right cross section, a regulator with a flow meter and a hose. For MIG/MAG add rolls for the wire diameter, for TIG tungsten electrodes and cups. For plasma you need a compressor of 150 to 250 l/min at 5 to 6 bar with a water separating filter.
