UTP A 8051 Ti is a solid wire in a nickel alloy designed for cold welding of cast iron and for dissimilar joints with steels. It works on cast repairs, engine blocks and machine parts in grey and ductile iron.
The wire handles manual semi-automatic work and mechanised stations alike, welded under shielding gas with continuous feeding. It repairs housings, machine frames, pulleys and cracked iron castings.
- Classification EN ISO: 1071 S C NiFe-2
- AWS classification: S C NiFe-2
Weld cold in short beads and peen each one right after it is laid, so the shrinkage stresses are released. Match the feed rolls to the wire diameter and inspect the liner, wire slip shows up at once as an unstable arc. Watch the wire stick-out from the contact tip, too long a stick-out drops the arc voltage and worsens penetration.
