UTP ROBOTIC 453 is a seamless, gas-shielded metal-cored wire particularly suited to automated welding, for wear resistant hardfacings on parts subject to abrasion, compression and high temperature.
The wire gives a high deposition rate and a wide, flat penetration profile with a stable spray arc. Its seamless construction limits moisture pick-up in the core, and it is set up for automated welding on surfaces exposed to abrasion. Previously sold as UTP AF ROBOTIC 453.
- Classification EN ISO: 14700 T Fe 3
- AWS classification: 8555 MSG 3-GF-45-ST
- Shielding gas: M21
- Diameters: 1.2 / 1.6 mm
- Hardness of deposit: 44HRC
Check how many layers you need to reach the target hardness, the first layer always mixes with the base material. Check the feed roll pressure, a metal-cored wire is easier to crush than a solid one. Set the parameters for spray arc, in the short arc range a metal-cored wire loses its deposition advantage.
