UTP ROBOTIC 503 is a seamless, gas-shielded metal-cored wire particularly suited to automated welding, made above all for hot wear resistant surfacing.
The wire leaves only silicate islands instead of a full slag layer, which shortens the cleaning time between passes. Its seamless sheath protects the core against moisture even after long storage, it serves for cladding carbon steel surfaces, and it is set up for automated welding. Previously sold as UTP AF ROBOTIC 503.

Remove the fatigued and hardened surface layer before you build up, a deposit laid on worn material will flake off. Set the parameters for spray arc, in the short arc range a metal-cored wire loses its deposition advantage. Keep the gas cover complete, without a full slag layer the pool is more sensitive to draughts.
