UTP Robotic 6010 is a metal-cored wire for cladding runs and for rebuilding worn surfaces. It is used on farm tools, crusher parts, conveyors, ploughshares and mining machinery.
The wire gives a high deposition rate and a wide, flat penetration profile with a stable spray arc. Its seamless construction limits moisture pick-up in the core, and it serves for cladding carbon steel surfaces.
- Classification EN ISO: T Fe 15
- AWS classification: MSG 10-GF-60-CGP
- Diameters: 1.6 / 2.4 mm
Lay the overlay in overlapping beads and watch the part temperature, an overheated component will distort and crack where the layers meet. Set the parameters for spray arc, in the short arc range a metal-cored wire loses its deposition advantage. Keep the gas cover complete, without a full slag layer the pool is more sensitive to draughts. Thinner diameters suit root runs and thin sheet, thicker ones suit filling.
