WEARcore 741 is a gas shielded metal-cored wire made to resist metal to metal wear, corrosion and thermal fatigue fire cracking, for surfacing continuous casting rollers of very small diameters.
The metal core combines the deposition rate of a cored wire with an almost slag-free bead, as you get from a solid wire. It serves for cladding carbon steel surfaces and resists corrosion and thermal fatigue on the surface. Previously sold as SK 741-G.

Check how many layers you need to reach the target hardness, the first layer always mixes with the base material. Set the parameters for spray arc, in the short arc range a metal-cored wire loses its deposition advantage. Keep the gas cover complete, without a full slag layer the pool is more sensitive to draughts.
