What WEARcore Co 6 T metal-cored wire is used for

WEARcore Co 6 T is a gas shielded metal-cored wire in a cobalt base alloy, designed to be used with the GTAW process, that is TIG.

The wire gives a high deposition rate and a wide, flat penetration profile with a stable spray arc, and its deposit is cobalt based. It leaves only silicate islands instead of a full slag layer, which shortens the cleaning time between passes. Previously sold as SK STELKAY 6T-G.

Check how many layers you need to reach the target hardness, the first layer always mixes with the base material. Set the parameters for spray arc, in the short arc range a metal-cored wire loses its deposition advantage. Keep the gas cover complete, without a full slag layer the pool is more sensitive to draughts.
