WEARmig DUR 600 is a solid wire for wear resistant overlays that take impact and abrasion, with a weld metal hardness of about 58 HRC.
The wire suits hand work with a semiautomatic torch and mechanised stations, fed continuously under shielding gas. It is used on repairs of farm tools, crusher parts, conveyors, ploughshares and mining machine components, and on rebuilding shafts, rollers, screws and blades.
- Classification EN ISO: 14700 S Fe 8
- AWS classification: S Fe 8
- Shielding gas: M12, M13, M23, C1
On hard deposits expect a network of shrinkage cracks, on working overlays that is normal, but it must not reach the parent material. Watch the wire stick-out from the contact tip, too long a one lowers the arc voltage and worsens the fusion. Set the gas flow so the pool is covered over the whole length of the bead, and shield the station when you work in wind. Previously sold as UTP A DUR 600.
