WEARmig Tool 35 is a solid wire for hot work tool steels and steels of a similar nature, with a hardness of 50 to 54 HRC after age hardening.
It suits hand work with a semiautomatic torch and mechanised stations, fed continuously under shielding gas. The wire goes into maintenance work, rebuilding dimensions and strengthening surfaces exposed to wear, including farm tools, crusher parts and conveyors.
- Classification EN ISO: 14700 S Z Fe5
- AWS classification: S Z Fe 5
- Shielding gas: M12, M13, I1
Lay the overlay in overlapping beads and watch the temperature of the part, an overheated piece will distort and crack at the layer boundary. Match the drive rolls to the wire diameter and check the liner, wire slip shows up at once in an unstable arc. Watch the wire stick-out from the contact tip, too long a one lowers the arc voltage and worsens the fusion. Previously sold as UTP A 702.
