WEARmig Tool 58 is a solid wire for wear protection on cold and hot work tool steels, with a high weld metal hardness of about 58 HRC.
The wire runs under shielding gas, fed continuously from a semiautomatic torch, by hand and on mechanised stations. It goes into maintenance work, rebuilding dimensions and strengthening surfaces exposed to wear, including farm tools, crusher parts and conveyors.
- Classification EN ISO: 14700 S Fe8
- AWS classification: S Fe8
- Shielding gas: M12, M13, M21, C1
Check how many layers you need to reach the target hardness, the first layer always mixes with the base material. Match the drive rolls to the wire diameter and check the liner, wire slip shows up at once in an unstable arc. Watch the wire stick-out from the contact tip, too long a one lowers the arc voltage and worsens the fusion. Previously sold as UTP A DUR 650.
