WEARstick Co 21 is used for crack resistant hardfacings on parts subject to a combination of impact, pressure, abrasion, corrosion and high temperatures up to 900 degrees C, such as running and sealing faces on gas, water, steam and acid fittings and pumps, valve seats and cones for combustion engines, working parts in gas and power plants, and hot working tools under changing thermal load. Previously sold as UTP Celsit 721.
The classification is ECoCr-E to AWS A5.13, E Co1 to EN 14700 and E 20-UM-350-CTZ to DIN 8555. The hardness of the pure deposit is 31 to 37 HRC, rising to about 45 HRC once it is work hardened, and it holds about 240 HB at 600 degrees C. The deposit is non-magnetic, tough, polishes well and can be machined with cutting tools.

This grade is soft as welded and hardens in service, so do not judge it by the hardness you measure right after welding. Surface at a low current in thin beads, keeping the mixing with the base material down. Preheat heavy components and cool them slowly. You can bring it to size with normal cutting, though not at the highest feed rates.
