BÖHLER alform® 960 L-MC is a seamless, high strength metal-cored wire designed for the alform® 960 x-treme base material. It is used on working machines, booms, cranes and structures where a high yield strength matters.
The wire leaves only silicate islands instead of a full slag layer, which shortens the cleaning time between passes. Its seamless sheath protects the core against moisture even after long storage, and it gives a high deposition rate with a stable spray arc.

Keep the hydrogen level low: dry consumables, a clean groove and preheating on heavier sections. Set the parameters for spray arc, in the short arc range a metal-cored wire loses its deposition advantage. Keep the gas cover complete, without a full slag layer the pool is more sensitive to draughts.
