BÖHLER alform® 700 L-MC is a seamless, high strength metal-cored wire designed for the alform® 700 M base material. It is used in machine building, crane structures and commercial vehicles.
The wire suits grades such as S690Q, S690QL and ASTM A 514. Its seamless construction limits moisture pick-up in the core and keeps the hydrogen level in the weld low.

Keep the heat input within the range the steel maker specifies, going above it lowers the strength of the joint. Set the parameters for spray arc, in the short arc range a metal-cored wire loses its deposition advantage. Keep the gas cover complete, without a full slag layer the pool is more sensitive to draughts. Thinner diameters suit root runs and thin sheet, thicker ones suit filling.
