What BÖHLER CAT 430L Cb Ti-MC metal-cored wire is used for

BÖHLER CAT 430L Cb Ti-MC is a high alloyed ferritic stainless metal-cored wire, double stabilised with niobium and titanium, made for exhaust systems.

Base materials include 1.4016, X6Cr17, 1.4509, 1.4511, X3CrNb17, UNS S43000 and AISI 430. The wire runs well on robot and mechanised stations, gives a high deposition rate on long welds and heavier walls, and its deposit has a ferritic structure.

Keep the heat input down and do not hold the joint hot longer than you need to, the structure expands and pulls out of shape. Check the feed roll pressure, a metal-cored wire is easier to crush than a solid one.
