FOXcore 308L-T1 Cryo is a high-alloyed flux-cored wire of the E 308L type for austenitic stainless steel in cryogenic service, suitable for all welding positions, run under a mixed shielding gas and rated down to -196 °C.
Among the parent materials it covers 1.4301, X5CrNi18-10, 1.4306, X2CrNi19-11, 1.4307, X2CrNi18-9 and 1.4311. All positions are open to it, the deposit has a corrosion resistant austenitic structure and it keeps its toughness in the cryogenic range.

Keep the heat input down and do not hold the joint hot longer than needed, austenite expands strongly and pulls the structure out of shape. Store the wire dry and do not leave an open spool in the feeder overnight, the core takes up moisture. Do not shorten the stick-out too far, a flux-cored wire needs resistive preheating so the core melts in time.
