UTP A 2133 Mn is a high-alloyed solid wire for special applications, for cast pipes in the petrochemical industry at service temperatures up to 1050 degrees C, with good resistance to a carburising atmosphere.
The wire is fed continuously from the feeder and welded under shielding gas, by hand and on mechanised stations. It goes into tank building, process piping and equipment for the chemical and food industries.
- Classification EN ISO: 14343 G Z 21 33 Mn Nb
Use brushes and discs kept only for stainless steel, carbon steel particles cause rust staining on the face. Match the drive rolls to the wire diameter and check the liner, wire slip shows up at once in an unstable arc. Watch the wire stick-out from the contact tip, too long a one lowers the arc voltage and worsens the fusion. After welding remove the heat tint by pickling or brushing, the oxide layer alone lowers the corrosion resistance of the joint.
