UTP A 2133 Mn is a high alloyed TIG rod for special applications, made for cast pipes in the petrochemical industry in service up to 1050 degrees C, with good resistance to carburising atmospheres.
Base materials are 1.4859, 1.4876, UNS N08800, 1.4958, UNS N08810, 1.4959 and UNS N08811. The rod also serves for cladding carbon steel surfaces, and it covers tanks, process installations and equipment in contact with water and steam.
- Classification EN ISO: 14343 WZ 21 33 Mn Nb
- Diameters: 2.0 / 2.4 / 3.2 mm
- Approvals: TÜV (10451)
Keep the interpass temperature low and the beads narrow, overheating austenitic steel promotes carbide precipitation and distortion. Set the gas post-flow long enough for the pool and the electrode to cool under the shield. Grind the tungsten tip along its axis and hold a short arc, otherwise the pool spreads. Thinner diameters suit root runs and thin sheet, thicker ones suit filling.
