UTP A 320 is a copper alloy welding wire of the Cu 5410 type, CuSn12P. It is used on casting repairs, industrial fittings and cladding of working surfaces.
The wire suits hand work with a semiautomatic torch and mechanised stations, fed continuously under shielding gas, and the deposit is copper based.
- Classification EN ISO: 24373 S Cu 5410 (CuSn12P)
- Diameters: 1.0 / 1.2 / 1.6 mm
Take care of the ventilation at the station, copper alloys give off fumes that need extraction. Watch the wire stick-out from the contact tip, too long a one lowers the arc voltage and worsens the fusion. Set the gas flow so the pool is covered over the whole length of the bead, and shield the station when you work in wind. Thinner diameters suit root runs and thin sheet, thicker ones the fill passes.
