UTP A 3422 is a copper alloy solid wire of the Cu 6327 type, CuAl8Ni2Fe2Mn2. It goes on fittings, heat exchangers, bearing shells, slides and the repair of bronze parts.
The wire runs under shielding gas, fed continuously from a semiautomatic torch, and it also suits cladding runs on steel. The deposit is copper based, and typical work covers casting repairs, industrial fittings and cladding of working surfaces.
- Classification EN ISO: 24373 S Cu 6327 (CuAl8Ni2Fe2Mn2)
- Diameters: 1.0 / 1.2 mm
Allow for the high thermal conductivity of copper and preheat thicker sections, otherwise you will not get fusion. Check the contact tip, a worn bore upsets the wire feed and causes burnback. Match the drive rolls to the wire diameter and check the liner, wire slip shows up at once in an unstable arc. Thinner diameters suit root runs and thin sheet, thicker ones the fill passes.
