WEARcore Co 1 is a gas shielded metal-cored wire in a cobalt base alloy, for mill guides, palm nut oil extruders, plastic extrusion screws, mixer blades, scrapers and rubber mixers.
The metal core combines the deposition rate of a cored wire with an almost slag-free bead, as you get from a solid wire. The deposit is cobalt based. Previously sold as SK STELKAY 1-G.
- Classification EN ISO: 14700 T Co3
- AWS classification: 8555 MF 20-GF-55-CTZ
- Shielding gas: M13, I1
- Diameters: 1.2 / 1.6 mm
- Hardness of deposit: 54 HRC
Expect a network of shrinkage cracks in hard overlays, on working deposits this is normal, but it must not reach into the parent material. Set the parameters for spray arc, in the short arc range a metal-cored wire loses its deposition advantage. Keep the gas cover complete, without a full slag layer the pool is more sensitive to draughts. Match the diameter to the material thickness and the welding position, thinner wires are easier to control out of position.
