What WEARcore Co 21 T metal-cored wire is used for

WEARcore Co 21 T is a gas shielded metal-cored wire in a cobalt base alloy, designed to be used with the GTAW process, that is TIG.

The wire gives a high deposition rate and a wide, flat penetration profile with a stable spray arc. The deposit is cobalt based, and the wire is used in maintenance work, where worn dimensions are restored. Previously sold as SK STELKAY 21T-G.

Lay the overlay in overlapping beads and watch the part temperature, an overheated component will distort and crack where the layers meet. Set the parameters for spray arc, in the short arc range a metal-cored wire loses its deposition advantage. Keep the gas cover complete, without a full slag layer the pool is more sensitive to draughts.
