WEARcore Tool 60 is a gas shielded metal-cored wire designed to deposit a molybdenum alloyed high speed steel.
The wire gives a high deposition rate and a wide, flat penetration profile with a stable spray arc, and its metal core leaves an almost slag-free bead as from a solid wire. Previously sold as SK D20-G.
- Classification EN ISO: 14700 T Fe4
- AWS classification: 8555 MF 4-GF-60-S
- Shielding gas: M13
- Diameters: 1.2 / 1.6 mm
- Hardness of deposit: 61 HRC
Expect a network of shrinkage cracks in hard overlays, on working deposits this is normal, but it must not reach into the parent material. Check the feed roll pressure, a metal-cored wire is easier to crush than a solid one. Set the parameters for spray arc, in the short arc range a metal-cored wire loses its deposition advantage. Thinner diameters suit root runs and thin sheet, thicker ones suit filling.
