BÖHLER A 7-MC is a metal-cored wire for welding stainless and acid-resistant steels. It goes into tanks, process pipelines and equipment for the chemical and food industries.
The wire gives a high deposition rate and a wide, flat penetration profile with a stable spray arc. It leaves only silicate islands instead of a full slag layer, which shortens the cleaning time between passes.

Keep the heat input down and do not hold the joint hot longer than you need to, austenite expands strongly and pulls the structure out of shape. Keep the gas cover complete, without a full slag layer the pool is more sensitive to draughts. Check the feed roll pressure, a metal-cored wire is easier to crush than a solid one. Keep the interpass temperature low and the beads narrow, overheating austenitic steel promotes carbide precipitation and distortion. Set current and voltage to the thickness and position, and try them on a test piece before production.
