BÖHLER CN 13/4-MC is a metal-cored wire for welding stainless and acid-resistant steels. It is used on process installations, heat exchangers, sanitary structures and parts exposed to corrosion.
The wire leaves only silicate islands instead of a full slag layer, which shortens the cleaning time between passes, and its metal core gives an almost slag-free bead as from a solid wire. Typical work covers tanks, process installations and equipment in contact with water and steam.
- Classification EN ISO: T 13 4 M M 2
- AWS classification: EC410NiMo (mod.)
Use brushes and discs kept only for stainless steel, carbon steel particles cause rust staining on the bead face. Keep the gas cover complete, without a full slag layer the pool is more sensitive to draughts. Check the feed roll pressure, a metal-cored wire is easier to crush than a solid one. Do not hold the joint hot longer than you need to, the structure expands and pulls out of shape.
