What FOXcore 307-MC metal-cored wire is used for

FOXcore 307-MC is a high alloyed austenitic stainless metal-cored wire of the EC 307 type for special applications and dissimilar joints, with good resistance to embrittlement down to minus 60 degrees C.

The wire gives a high deposition rate and a wide, flat penetration profile with a stable spray arc, and it runs well on robot and mechanised stations. Its deposit has an austenitic structure that resists corrosion.

  • Classification EN ISO: 17633-A T 18 8 Mn M M12 1
  • AWS classification: A5.22 / SFA-5.22 EC307 (mod.)
  • Shielding gas: M12
  • Diameters: 1.2 / 1.6 mm
  • Approvals: TÜV (10871), DB (43.014.27), CE

Use brushes and discs kept only for stainless steel, carbon steel particles cause rust staining on the bead face. Set the parameters for spray arc, in the short arc range a metal-cored wire loses its deposition advantage.
