BÖHLER CN 23/12-FD is a rutile flux-cored wire. It suits welding stainless and acid-resistant steels and works on pressure vessels, process piping and austenitic structures where corrosion resistance counts.
The slag covers the bead and cools slowly, so the face stays even and the transitions to the parent metal are smooth, while the core gives a fast freezing pool and slag that lifts easily. The wire is used on process plant, heat exchangers, sanitary structures and parts exposed to corrosion.
- Classification EN ISO: T 23 12 L R M(C) 3
- AWS classification: E309LT0-1 ; E309LT0-4
Use brushes and discs kept only for stainless steel, carbon steel particles cause rust staining on the face. Remove the slag before every following bead, slag left between layers is the most common source of inclusions. Store the wire dry and do not leave an open spool in the feeder overnight, the core takes up moisture.
