BÖHLER CN 23/12 Mo PW-FD is a flux-cored wire with a rutile core for welding stainless and acid-resistant steels. Typical work covers tanks, process plant, food and chemical equipment and structures in contact with water and steam.
The slag covers the bead and cools slowly, so the face stays even and the transitions to the parent metal are smooth, while the core gives a fast freezing pool and slag that lifts easily. The wire works on pressure vessels, piping and austenitic structures where corrosion resistance counts.
- Classification EN ISO: T 23 12 2 L P M(C) 1
- AWS classification: E309LMoT1-4 ; E309LMoT1-1
- Diameters: 1.2 mm
Use brushes and discs kept only for stainless steel, carbon steel particles cause rust staining on the face. Hold the torch tilted slightly backwards so the slag flows behind the pool. Remove the slag before every following bead, slag left between layers is the most common source of inclusions.
