BÖHLER DCMS-IG is a low-alloy, creep resistant TIG rod. It works in power plant, on superheaters, headers and pressure pipework in chromium molybdenum steels.
Base materials include 1.7335, 13CrMo4-5, 1.7262, 15CrMo5, 1.7728, 16CrMoV4 and 1.7218. The deposit resists creep at elevated temperature.
- Classification EN ISO: 21952-A W CrMo1Si
- AWS classification: A5.28 ER80S-G / ER80S-B2 (mod.)
- Shielding gas: I1
- Diameters: 1.0 / 1.2 / 1.6 / 2.0 / 2.4 / 3.0 mm
- Approvals: TÜV (0727), CE, (ø 2.4 mm; ø 3.0 mm)
Do not interrupt welding and do not let the joint drop below the interpass temperature before the fill is finished. Set the gas post-flow long enough for the pool and the electrode to cool under the shield. Grind the tungsten tip along its axis and hold a short arc, otherwise the pool spreads. Thinner diameters suit root runs and thin sheet, thicker ones suit filling.
