BÖHLER DCMS TI-FD is a rutile flux-cored wire for creep-resistant CrMo steels. It is used on boilers, steam lines, refinery plant and parts working at elevated temperature.
Among the parent materials it covers 1.7335, 13CrMo4-5, 1.7262, 15CrMo5, 1.7728, 16CrMoV4 and 1.7218. It does well on pipe welding, fill passes included, on boilers and pressure vessels under technical inspection and on power plant superheaters, headers and pressure piping in chromium molybdenum steel.
- Classification EN ISO: T CrMo1 P M 1 H10
- AWS classification: E81T1-M21PY-B2H8
- Diameters: 1.2 mm
Do not break off welding and do not let the joint cool below the interpass temperature before the fill is finished. Store the wire dry and do not leave an open spool in the feeder overnight, the core takes up moisture. Do not shorten the stick-out too far, a flux-cored wire needs resistive preheating so the core melts in time.
