diamondspark DCMV BC is a seamless, creep resistant flux-cored wire of the basic type, alloyed with chromium, molybdenum and vanadium.
It is used on grades such as 1.7706 and G17CrMoV5-10. The seamless make limits moisture pickup by the core and keeps the hydrogen level in the weld low, and the deposit stands up to creep in power generation, on superheaters, headers and pressure piping in chromium molybdenum steel.
- Classification EN ISO: 17634-A T Z B M21 3 H5
- AWS classification: A5.29 / SFA-5.29 E90T5-GM-H4
- Shielding gas: M21
- Diameters: 1.2 mm
- Approvals: TÜV (0961), CE
Plan the preheating and the post weld heat treatment to the WPS for the grade in hand, CrMo steels harden in the heat affected zone. Take care of degassing and a clean groove, basic slag will not forgive oily edges. Keep the wire in a dry store and use an opened pack promptly, a basic core is sensitive to moisture.
