What diamondspark DCMS RC flux-cored wire is used for

diamondspark DCMS RC is a seamless, creep resistant flux-cored wire of the rutile type. It suits welding creep-resistant CrMo steels and goes into boiler, pressure vessel and petrochemical plant construction.

It joins grades such as 1.7335, 13CrMo4-5, 1.7262, 15CrMo5, 1.7728, 16CrMoV4 and 1.7218 together with their equivalents, including boilers and pressure vessels under technical inspection. The seamless sheath keeps moisture away from the core even after longer storage, and the deposit stands up to creep at elevated temperature.

Watch the hydrogen level, dry consumables and a preheated groove are the basic protection against cold cracking. Hold the torch tilted slightly backwards so the slag flows behind the pool. Remove the slag before every following bead, slag left between layers is the most common source of inclusions.
