FOXcore 307-T1 is a high-alloyed flux-cored wire of the E 307L type for austenitic stainless steel in special applications, with high ductility and elongation, suitable for all welding positions under a mixed shielding gas.
It is used in tank building, process piping and equipment for the chemical and food industries, and it also serves for cladding carbon steel surfaces. The slag covers the bead and cools slowly, so the face stays even, and the deposit has a corrosion resistant austenitic structure.
- Classification EN ISO: 17633-A T 18 8 Mn P M21 (C1) 2
- AWS classification: A5.22 / SFA-5.22 E307T1-G (mod.)
- Shielding gas: M21, C1
- Diameters: 1.2 / 2.0 mm
- Approvals: TÜV (11102), CE
Keep the interpass temperature low and the beads narrow, overheating austenitic steel promotes carbide precipitation and distortion. Do not shorten the stick-out too far, a flux-cored wire needs resistive preheating so the core melts in time.
