FOXcore 308L-MC is a high alloyed austenitic stainless metal-cored wire of the E 308L type, used under a mixed shielding gas down to minus 196 degrees C.
The wire joins grades such as 1.4301, X5CrNi18-10, 1.4306, X2CrNi19-11, 1.4307, X2CrNi18-9 and 1.4311, along with related materials. It gives a high deposition rate on long welds and heavier walls, its deposit has an austenitic structure, and the impact toughness is confirmed down to minus 196 degrees C.

Keep the heat input down and do not hold the joint hot longer than you need to, austenite expands strongly and pulls the structure out of shape. Keep the gas cover complete, without a full slag layer the pool is more sensitive to draughts.
