What FOXcore 308L-T1 C1 flux-cored wire is used for

FOXcore 308L-T1 C1 is a high-alloyed flux-cored wire of the E 308L type for austenitic stainless steel, suitable for all welding positions and run under 100 % CO2.

Among the parent materials it covers 1.4301, X5CrNi18-10, 1.4306, X2CrNi19-11, 1.4307, X2CrNi18-9 and 1.4311. All positions are open to it, the deposit has a corrosion resistant austenitic structure, and typical work covers tanks, process plant and equipment in contact with water and steam.

  • Classification EN ISO: 17633-A T 19 9 L P C1 1
  • AWS classification: A5.22 / SFA-5.22 E308LT1-1
  • Shielding gas: C1
  • Diameters: 0.9 / 1.2 / 1.6 / 2.0 mm
  • Approvals: CE

Keep the heat input down and do not hold the joint hot longer than needed, austenite expands strongly and pulls the structure out of shape. Do not shorten the stick-out too far, a flux-cored wire needs resistive preheating so the core melts in time.
