FOXcore 308L-T1 is a high-alloyed flux-cored wire of the E 308L type for austenitic stainless steel, suitable for all welding positions and run under a mixed shielding gas.
Among the parent materials it covers 1.4301, X5CrNi18-10, 1.4306, X2CrNi19-11, 1.4307, X2CrNi18-9 and 1.4311. All positions are open to it, which helps on site, the deposit has a corrosion resistant austenitic structure, and the wire is used in tank building and process piping.

Keep the interpass temperature low and the beads narrow, overheating austenitic steel promotes carbide precipitation and distortion. Hold the torch tilted slightly backwards so the slag flows behind the pool. Remove the slag before every following bead, slag left between layers is the most common source of inclusions.
