FOXcore 309L-T1 C1 is a high-alloyed austenitic stainless flux-cored wire of the E 309L type, intended above all for cladding low-alloy steels and for dissimilar welds between mild steel and stainless steel, suitable for all welding positions under 100 % CO2.
The rutile core gives a fast freezing pool, a well shaped face and slag that lifts easily. It also suits cladding runs, that is protective layers laid on steel, and the wire is used on process plant, heat exchangers, sanitary structures and parts exposed to corrosion.

Keep the interpass temperature low and the beads narrow, overheating austenitic steel promotes carbide precipitation and distortion. Store the wire dry and do not leave an open spool in the feeder overnight, the core takes up moisture. Do not shorten the stick-out too far, a flux-cored wire needs resistive preheating so the core melts in time.
