FOXcore 309L-T1 is a high-alloyed austenitic stainless flux-cored wire of the E 309L type, intended above all for surfacing low-alloy steels and for dissimilar welds between mild steel and CrNi stainless steel, suitable for all welding positions.
The rutile core gives a fast freezing pool, a well shaped face and slag that lifts easily. All positions are open to it, the wire also serves for cladding carbon steel surfaces, and it works on pressure vessels, piping and austenitic structures where corrosion resistance counts.

After welding remove the heat tint by pickling or brushing, the oxide layer alone lowers the corrosion resistance of the joint. Store the wire dry and do not leave an open spool in the feeder overnight, the core takes up moisture.
