What FOXcore 309LMo-T0 flux-cored wire is used for

FOXcore 309LMo-T0 is a high-alloyed austenitic stainless flux-cored wire of the E 309LMo type for welding and cladding, meant for the flat and horizontal positions and run under a mixed shielding gas.

The rutile core gives a fast freezing pool, a well shaped face and slag that lifts easily. It suits cladding runs on steel, the deposition rate shortens the filling of wider grooves, and typical work covers tanks, process plant, food and chemical equipment and structures in contact with water and steam.

  • Classification EN ISO: 17633-A T 23 12 2 L R M21 (C1) 3
  • AWS classification: A5.22 / SFA-5.22 E309LMoT0-4(1)
  • Shielding gas: M21, C1
  • Diameters: 1.2 / 1.6 / 2.0 mm
  • Approvals: TÜV (05351), DB (43.014.17), ABS (M21), DNV, LR (M21), RINA (M21), CWB, CE

Keep the heat input down and do not hold the joint hot longer than needed, austenite expands strongly and pulls the structure out of shape.
