FOXcore 317L-T1 is a high-alloyed flux-cored wire of the E 317L type for austenitic stainless steel, suitable for all welding positions and run under a mixed shielding gas.
Among the parent materials it covers 1.4429, 1.4434, 1.4435, 1.4438, 1.4439, AISI 316L and 316LN. All positions are open to it, the wire goes on offshore structures where the joint works in sea water, and the deposit has a corrosion resistant austenitic structure.

After welding remove the heat tint by pickling or brushing, the oxide layer alone lowers the corrosion resistance of the joint. Hold the torch tilted slightly backwards so the slag flows behind the pool, not ahead of it.
