What FOXcore 347L H-T0 flux-cored wire is used for

FOXcore 347L H-T0 is a high-alloyed flux-cored wire of the E 347 type for heat resistant austenitic stainless steel, with a bismuth free weld deposit and a controlled ferrite content, meant for the flat and horizontal positions under a mixed shielding gas.

It is used on grades such as 1.4301 and 347L, and works on pressure vessels, piping and austenitic structures where corrosion resistance counts. The deposition rate shows on long welds and thicker walls, and the austenitic deposit stands up to elevated temperature.

  • Classification EN ISO: 17633-A T 19 9 Nb R M21 (C1) 3
  • AWS classification: A5.22 / SFA-5.22 E347T0-4(1)
  • Shielding gas: M21, C1
  • Diameters: 1.2 / 2.0 mm
  • Approvals: CE

Keep the heat input down and do not hold the joint hot longer than needed, austenite expands strongly and pulls the structure out of shape. Hold the torch tilted slightly backwards so the slag flows behind the pool. Remove the slag before every following bead, slag left between layers is the most common source of inclusions.
