FOXcore CB 2 RC is a low-alloyed, creep resistant flux-cored wire of the rutile type for the cast material COST CB2.
The rutile core gives a fast freezing pool, a well shaped face and slag that lifts easily. The deposit stands up to creep at elevated temperature, and the wire is used in boiler, pressure vessel and petrochemical plant construction and in power generation on superheaters, headers and pressure piping.

Plan the preheating and the post weld heat treatment to the WPS for the grade in hand, CrMo steels harden in the heat affected zone. Store the wire dry and do not leave an open spool in the feeder overnight, the core takes up moisture. Do not shorten the stick-out too far, a flux-cored wire needs resistive preheating so the core melts in time.
