FOXcore CM 2 RC is a low-alloyed, creep resistant flux-cored wire of the rutile type, alloyed with about 2.25 % Cr and 1 % Mo.
It joins grades such as 1.7380, 10CrMo9-10, 1.7276, 1.7281, 16CrMo9-3, 1.7383 and 11CrMo9-10 together with their equivalents, including boilers and pressure vessels under technical inspection. The deposit stands up to creep at elevated temperature.

Plan the preheating and the post weld heat treatment to the WPS for the grade in hand, CrMo steels harden in the heat affected zone. Do not shorten the stick-out too far, a flux-cored wire needs resistive preheating so the core melts in time. Hold the torch tilted slightly backwards so the slag flows behind the pool, not ahead of it.
