FOXcore DCMS RC is a low-alloyed, creep resistant flux-cored wire of the rutile type, alloyed with about 1 % Cr and 0.5 % Mo.
It joins grades such as 1.7335, 13CrMo4-5, 1.7262, 15CrMo5, 1.7728, 16CrMoV4 and 1.7218 together with their equivalents, including boilers and pressure vessels under technical inspection. The deposit stands up to creep at elevated temperature.

Watch the hydrogen level, dry consumables and a preheated groove are the basic protection against cold cracking. Hold the torch tilted slightly backwards so the slag flows behind the pool. Remove the slag before every following bead, slag left between layers is the most common source of inclusions.
