What Union NiMoCr solid MIG/MAG wire is used for

Union NiMoCr is a low-alloyed, high-strength solid wire. It suits welding quenched and tempered high-strength steels on working machines, booms, cranes and structures that need a high yield strength.

Among the parent materials it covers S620Q, S620QL, S620QL1, S690Q, S690QL, S690QL1 and S600MC. The copper coated surface improves current transfer in the tip and the feeding.

  • Classification EN ISO: 16834-A G 69 6 M21 Mn4Ni1.5CrMo
  • AWS classification: A5.28 / SFA-5.28 ER100S-G [ER100S-1(mod.)]
  • Shielding gas: M21, C1
  • Diameters: 0.8 / 0.9 / 1.0 / 1.2 / 1.4 / 1.6 mm
  • Approvals: TÜV (02760), DB (42.132.08), ABS, BV, DNV, LR, VG 95132-1, CE

Do not exceed the permitted interpass temperature, an overheated heat affected zone loses its toughness. Set the gas flow so the pool is covered over the whole length of the bead, and shield the station when you work in wind. Check the contact tip, a worn bore upsets the wire feed and causes burnback.
