UTP 402-O is a self-shielded metal cored wire recommended for build-up, crack repair and buffer layers laid before hardfacing.
It needs no shielding gas, which makes work outdoors and in wind simpler, and the shielding comes from the core, so no cylinder or regulator is needed at the station. The wire rebuilds shafts, rollers, screws, blades and surfaces working under abrasion.

Check how many layers you need to reach the target hardness, the first layer always mixes with the base material. Work with fume extraction, self-shielded wires smoke far more than gas shielded ones. Check the polarity before you start, self-shielded wires often run differently from solid wires. Match the diameter to the thickness and the position, thinner wires are easier to control in constrained positions.
