UTP ROBOTIC 404 is a metal-cored wire for cladding runs and for rebuilding worn surfaces. It rebuilds shafts, rollers, screws, blades and surfaces working under abrasion.
The wire gives a high deposition rate and a wide, flat penetration profile with a stable spray arc. Its seamless sheath protects the core against moisture even after long storage, and it serves for cladding carbon steel surfaces on farm tools, crusher parts and mining machinery.
- Classification EN ISO: T Fe3
- AWS classification: MSG 3-GF-40-ST
- Diameters: 1.6 mm
Expect a network of shrinkage cracks in hard overlays, on working deposits this is normal, but it must not reach into the parent material. Check the feed roll pressure, a metal-cored wire is easier to crush than a solid one. Set the parameters for spray arc, in the short arc range a metal-cored wire loses its deposition advantage. The current ranges for each diameter are given in the manufacturer data sheet.
