WEARcore Dur 600 is a gas shielded metal-cored wire with good resistance to metal to metal wear under low abrasion and moderate impact loads.
The metal core combines the deposition rate of a cored wire with an almost slag-free bead, as you get from a solid wire, and it gives a wide, flat penetration profile with a stable spray arc. Previously sold as SK 600-G.
- Classification EN ISO: 14700 T Fe6
- AWS classification: 8555 MF 6-GF-60-GP
- Shielding gas: M21, C1
- Diameters: 1.2 / 1.6 mm
- Hardness of deposit: 59 HRC
Lay the overlay in overlapping beads and watch the part temperature, an overheated component will distort and crack where the layers meet. Check the feed roll pressure, a metal-cored wire is easier to crush than a solid one. Set the parameters for spray arc, in the short arc range a metal-cored wire loses its deposition advantage. Match the diameter to the material thickness and the welding position, thinner wires are easier to control out of position.
